Scarity Haunted House

DISMEMBERMENT ON THE TRACKS

The train tracks of Billings and throughout the state are home to many spirits over the past 100 years.

CRUEL GANG VIOLENCE

Prohibition-era gang violence led to the deaths of many individuals seen walking around many of Billings’ haunts.

WWII PLANE CRASH

A WWII soldier has been seen in the Antique Depot on Montana Avenue, his presence has been seen and felt there ever since his plane crashed there almost 100 years ago.

MEET THE MISSOULA MAULER

Wayne Nance, aka The Missoula Mauler went on a killing spree between 1974 and 1986. He terrified the residents of Ravalli County for a decade… and far beyond.

THE MAN FROM THE GALLOWS

William Pepo was found guilty of murder on 6/4/1899, and sentenced to hang in Teton County. He maintained his innocence up until the rope went around his neck, and long after.

MOONSHINER BERTIE BROWN

This homesteader from Fergus County was a moonshiner who was famous for her brew. During Prohibition, her last batch mysteriously exploded, where Bertie’s spirit still remains.

THE BEAR CANYON GHOST

Bear Canyon, outside Bozeman, is a popular recreation site where many have reported a little girl who attempts to lead them off the trail. Those that dare follow her off the trail deep into the woods are never to be seen again. Some have even heard this girl call out to them by their names.

THE FARMHOUSE DEMON

In the mid 1890’s a family living in a small farmhouse dealt with a child regularly waking up with blood-curdling screams. When the father would rage inside to see what the matter was, the spirits would scramble and the child would appear to have pinch marks running the length of his ears.

THE HAUNTED DEPOT

The Billings Depot is famously haunted by spirits. Some of what you see at Scarity is for show, but something… may very well be for real.

WARM SPRINGS INSANE ASYLUM

Founded in 1877, Warm Springs was discovered to have sterilized their patients among other cruel “treatments”. Many of those spirits still linger there to this day.
